Square Enix Ceases Operations of Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, the global journey ends after four years. This news may or may not come as a surprise.

Two Months Remain

With the December shutdown looming, in-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges are already unavailable, ceasing after the September 29th maintenance.

Launched globally in June 2020, the game's reception was mixed despite its impressive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha mechanics. Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked key content updates such as Solistia and 6-star units, a significant omission that contributed to player dissatisfaction.

Square Enix has already closed several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding Romancing SaGa Re:universe (global) to the list.

This classic SaGa-inspired, turn-based RPG offers players two months left to enjoy its gameplay. If you're unfamiliar, the Google Play Store awaits.
