Rust's Major Update: Cooking & Farming Overhaul

Rust's highly anticipated Crafting Update has arrived, dramatically expanding the game's creative possibilities. A culinary workbench lets players grill chicken legs and even enjoy them with Siberian vodka! Recipes are required, and these well-cooked meals offer valuable stat boosts and gameplay modifiers.

Domesticating chickens has also been added. Players can now raise chickens and chicks in coops, ensuring their survival by attending to their hunger, thirst, love, and sunlight needs. Neglecting these will lead to unfortunate consequences. Chicken meat spoils, requiring refrigeration for preservation; food spoilage timers have also been implemented.

Sweetening the deal (literally!), wild beehives now appear in trees. Harvesting honeycombs requires careful extraction and relocation to player-built hives crafted from wooden boxes. Bees are aggressive; players need protective suits, water, or flamethrowers to avoid painful stings. A new weapon, the Bee Grenade (a honey jar that releases three aggressive bee swarms), adds a unique element of chaotic combat.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, introducing separate tech trees for plumbing and electricity. This allows for the creation of automated systems and even entire factories. Finally, premium servers are now available, exclusively for players with Rust inventories valued at $15 or more. This aims to curb cheating and disruptive behavior, creating a more enjoyable experience for dedicated players.
