After Yasuke hears rumors of “worse men” from his past being active in Japan, the Yasuke’s Past quests will require players to complete the Templar Hunt Objective Board. Here’s how and where to find every Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, starting with Kimura Kei.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To begin your quest for Kimura Kei, your first clue comes from a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in the central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If locating him proves challenging, utilize your Scouts to pinpoint his exact whereabouts. The ronin will be inside a building marked with green flags, situated next to a cherry blossom tree. Approach and speak to the ronin, who is dressed in Oda Clan attire, and he will direct you to find a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is situated in the northern part of Kii, specifically at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of the Kongobuji Temple. He will be accompanied by an escort of ronin. Approach him without engaging his guards, initiate conversation, and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Kumabe Ujiie will then lead you to Kimura Kei's location.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei's Training Grounds are located in the southwest portion of Kii, just north of the shore and halfway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon arrival, follow the other students to reach Kimura Kei. He will recognize Yasuke and order his students to attack. Be prepared for waves of ronin attacking you as you approach Kimura Kei. Equip your highest level armor and weapons, and utilize the strategically placed red explosive barrels to clear groups of enemies with your bow or teppo.

The confrontation with Kimura Kei initiates a multi-phase boss fight. In the first phase, he wields a standard Katana. Parry his attacks to make him vulnerable, then use posture attacks and abilities to break down his armor. When his armor is nearly destroyed, he transitions to the second phase, wielding both a Long Katana and a standard Katana, increasing the frequency of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking during openings. As his health reaches half, the fight moves outdoors, where he unleashes even more powerful unblockable attacks. Maintain distance, dodge frequently, and use ranged attacks like your bow or teppo to whittle down his health.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, some Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor features an engraving that reduces the impact from enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke's damage by 10% for every 10% of health missing.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, aiding the Portuguese in pillaging Tamba. To reach her, you'll need to consult various contacts. Begin with the spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

The spy, who can provide more information on the Silver Queen, is located in Southeast Tamba within the Silver Lands. Enter the investigation area to find him sitting on a rug under a small structure near a wooden cart and crates. Engage him in conversation, and he will reveal the Silver Queen’s location.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

The Silver Queen can be found in the town of Tada, just northeast of Tada Kakurega. She'll be conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach her, initiate a conversation, and follow her to her house for tea. However, after drinking, Yasuke wakes up in Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon waking in Tada Silver Mine, Yasuke finds himself in a locked room. Sprint into the door to break it open. After dealing with the guards, you have the choice to either fight or sneak your way out. Opting to sneak is faster and less confrontational. Head southwest out of the mine, eliminating any enemies in your path until you escape.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen will task Yasuke with rescuing her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on Yasuke's true target. After escaping Tada Silver Mine, head north toward Kameyama Castle. If you need to restock on Ammo or Rations, there’s a Kakurega just north of Senneji Temple in Kameyama.

Activate Pathfinder to navigate through Kameyama Castle, eliminating any guards you encounter along the suggested path. Inside the living quarters, you’ll find a bleeding servant who will give you a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key in hand, enter the main castle building beneath the Viewpoint and unlock the door to where Akechi Mitsuyoshi is being held. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to neutralize distant threats. Once he’s safe, return to the castle to confront Baltazar and retrieve Akechi Mitsuyoshi’s Katana. Clear out the surrounding soldiers first to face Baltazar one-on-one. Utilize abilities and posture attacks to break his guard and deal significant damage. After defeating Baltazar and reclaiming the Katana, head north to Atago Shrine. Converse with Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to the Shrine to learn the location of your next target.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s ultimate target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan and can be found at Takeda Castle in Western Tamba. The castle, perched high on a mountain, is reached via a winding road. Use Pathfinder to find the most direct route.

Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with alarm bells that can alert the entire fortress. As stealth is challenging for Yasuke, disable these bells with your bow or teppo. Ascend the castle, eliminating Nuno Caro's men as you go. At the top, interact with the double doors to initiate the encounter with Nuno Caro.

Nuno Caro, armed with a sword and pistol, engages you in a boss fight at the castle's summit. His primary attack is a combo of up to four sword swipes, which can be blocked or parried. When his pistol glows red, dodge to avoid the shot. Use your abilities to deal high damage, make him vulnerable, and continue this cycle until he is defeated. Once Nuno Caro is vanquished, the Templar Hunt Objective Board will be completed.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available from March 20th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
