2025 Oscar Nominations Unveiled: Emilia Pérez, Wicked, The Brutalist Lead

The 2025 Oscar nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been revealed, with Emilia Pérez taking the lead with an impressive 13 nominations, marking it as the most-nominated non-English language film in Oscar history. Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced the nominees on January 23 during a live presentation on the Oscars YouTube channel. Jacques Audiard's Spanish crime thriller Emilia Pérez secured nods in key categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, with Karla Sofía Gascón in the running for the latter.

Following closely are Wicked and The Brutalist, each earning 10 nominations, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown each received eight nominations.
