When Does the AFK Journey New Season (Chains of Eternity) Release? Answered

The free-to-play RPG AFK Journey receives regular seasonal content updates. A new season, "Chains of Eternity," is on the horizon, bringing a fresh map, story additions, and new heroes.

Chains of Eternity Release Date

The Chains of Eternity season launches globally on January 17th. For players on servers outside the global release, the season will be available once their server reaches 35 days of age and they fulfill these conditions:

• Reach Resonance level 240.
• Complete all pre-season AFK stages.

Meeting these requirements and having a server older than 35 days ensures access to the new season on the release date.

Chains of Eternity: New Additions

This season introduces:

• New heroes: Lorsan (Wilder), Elijah and Lailah (Celestial).
• New boss: Illucia (Dream Realm).

Significant gameplay changes include a daily cap on AFK progress, Paragon level adjustments, and Exclusive Equipment enhancements. Paragon levels will offer greater impact, and upgrading Exclusive Equipment from +15 to +20 receives a substantial boost. This means investing in Supreme+ units yields higher returns, although the investment cost increases significantly beyond +15.
