April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

by Isaac Jun 15,2025

Sony has officially announced the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for April 2025, featuring three distinctive titles across multiple PlayStation platforms. Subscribers can now claim *RoboCop: Rogue City* (PS5), *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre* (PS4, PS5), and *Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory* (PS4) at no extra cost starting April 1. These selections will remain available until May 5, when they’ll be replaced by the next set of monthly additions.

Which April 2025 PlayStation Plus game will you play first?

The April 2025 lineup delivers a diverse mix of genres to appeal to a wide audience of gamers. Leading the pack is *RoboCop: Rogue City*, an intense first-person shooter developed by Teyon and Nacon that pays homage to the iconic 1980s sci-fi action film. Players step into the armored boots of Officer Alex Murphy as he fights to restore order in a dangerously deteriorating Detroit. The game received a notable update in January 2024 with the addition of a New Game Plus mode, adding replayability value to its already engaging campaign. We previously reviewed the title and awarded it a solid 7 out of 10 for its immersive atmosphere and faithful adaptation of the RoboCop lore.

For those craving chaotic multiplayer experiences, *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre* offers a thrilling asymmetrical gameplay setup from Sumo Digital and Gun Media. This survival horror title pits players against each other in a deadly cat-and-mouse game where some take on the role of terrified survivors while others become members of the infamous Slaughter Family. The experience aims to replicate the tension and dread of being hunted by Leatherface and his kin, complete with the bone-chilling roar of his chainsaw. While our review gave it a 6 out of 10 due to some technical issues, it remains a compelling option for fans of the horror genre seeking adrenaline-pumping moments.

Rounding out the trio is *Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory*, a turn-based RPG offering a more relaxed pace compared to the high-octane action of the other two titles. Originally released in 2018, this Bandai Namco-developed entry expands on the world introduced in the original *Cyber Sleuth* by presenting the narrative from a new character’s perspective. With over 320 Digimon to collect, train, and evolve, it provides a deep and rewarding monster-battling adventure perfect for strategy lovers and longtime Digimon fans alike.

As these new games prepare to debut on April 1, PlayStation Plus subscribers are reminded to download the current March 2025 titles before they leave the catalog. March's collection has been especially strong, featuring *Dragon Age: The Veilguard*, *Sonic Colors: Ultimate*, and *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection*. Whether you're a long-time subscriber or considering joining for the first time, make sure to add these titles to your library before the deadline—March 31—expires.
