Arcane skins are unlikely to return to Fortnite
Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to showcase their favorite skins. Epic Games employs a rotating system for in-game skins, often resulting in lengthy wait times for specific items to reappear in the store. While some skins, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence), and even the original Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper (after far longer waits), have eventually returned, the future of others remains uncertain.
This is particularly true for the Jinx and Vi skins from Arcane. Player demand for their return, especially after the second season's release, has surged. However, a statement from Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill during a livestream cast doubt on their return. While acknowledging the decision rests with Riot, he indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Following online disappointment, he offered to discuss the possibility internally, but offered no guarantees.
The chances of these skins returning seem slim. While the potential revenue would benefit Riot, allowing their intellectual property to potentially draw players away from League of Legends to Fortnite presents a significant risk. With League of Legends facing challenges, a shift in players due to Fortnite skins would be undesirable.
While future circumstances might change, it's advisable to temper expectations regarding the return of Jinx and Vi skins to Fortnite.
