Assassin's Creed Shadows Faces Another Delay, Now Targeting March 20, 2025

Ubisoft has announced a further delay for the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed Shadows, pushing its release date back to March 20, 2025. Initially slated for a February 14th launch, this marks a five-week postponement from the previously announced date. The publisher cites the need for additional refinement and polish, incorporating valuable player feedback.

The game's journey to release has been marked by delays. The first, announced in late September 2024, shifted the launch from November 15th to February 14th, 2025. While initially attributed to unspecified reasons described as being "in the best interest of the game," later reports suggested concerns regarding historical and cultural accuracy within the game's development at Ubisoft Quebec.

This second delay, however, directly addresses player feedback. Marc-Alexis Coté, Vice President and Executive Producer of the Assassin's Creed franchise, stated on the official website that Ubisoft is dedicated to providing a high-quality, immersive experience, fueled by continuous player interaction with the development team. Both delays share a common goal: providing the developers extra time to refine and polish the game.
