by Max Oct 17,2025

Ubisoft has unveiled its post-launch roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, detailing free content updates throughout Year 1—including New Game+, expanded difficulty options, story expansions, and quality-of-life improvements.

The publisher released a concise 4.5-minute video today outlining planned updates through 2025, with specific features scheduled for May and June. These free additions aim to enhance player engagement for Ubisoft's latest stealth-action installment.

The updates kick off in early May with "The Works of Luis Frois"—the first free narrative expansion—alongside a Codex update and gameplay refinements. Significant parkour enhancements and an upgraded photo mode will also arrive mid-year, reflecting Ubisoft's commitment to community-driven development.

"Player feedback remains our priority post-launch," said community developer Daniel St. Germain in the announcement. "We're delivering regular title updates addressing player requests, alongside ongoing bug fixes to polish the experience across all platforms."

June brings another story update alongside hardcore difficulty options, immersive gameplay toggles, an open-world alert system, and toggleable cutscene headgear. Further anticipated additions—including New Game+, additional story content, and special collabs—will follow throughout 2025.

The major expansion "Claws of Awaji" arrives later this year, introducing a 10-hour adventure featuring the Bo staff weapon and a new explorable region. While pricing remains unconfirmed, pre-order customers will receive this DLC at no additional cost.
