Assetto Corsa EVO: New Challenger in Racing Game Genre

Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, from Kunos Simulazioni Studios, roars onto Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025.

Initially, the game will feature a thrilling lineup of 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, expect stunningly realistic physics, handling, and car behavior.

A standout feature will be the free-roam mode, offering unparalleled driving freedom. A significant summer 2025 update promises the addition of roads surrounding the legendary Nürburgring. This fully laser-scanned open world will eventually encompass a massive 1600 square kilometers, expanding gradually over time.

Assetto Corsa EVO boldly positions itself as a top-tier car simulator, aiming to rival industry heavyweights like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. This ambition is backed by claims of photorealistic graphics and cutting-edge physics.

The full launch version envisions a collection of 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more to come via future free updates. Every circuit will boast incredibly accurate details, from rolling tires to wet pavement, enhanced by animated spectators for heightened realism.

Developers have also refined car dynamics, suspension damping, and shock absorption. Early Access will include the Driving Academy mode, challenging players to complete specified tracks within time limits to earn a license unlocking access to the most prestigious vehicles. This mode represents a key single-player component of the Early Access release.
