Bandai Namco Announces Digimon Alysion, Digital Version of Digimon Card Game

Bandai Namco is bringing the Digimon Card Game to mobile with Digimon Alysion, a free-to-play title launching on Android and iOS. While a precise release date remains unannounced, the game was revealed during Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th. This announcement coincided with other exciting Digimon news, including a new arc for Digimon Liberator in April 2025, a celebratory video marking the anime's 25th anniversary, the unveiling of Digimon Adventure: Beyond, and a new console and PC RPG, Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Digimon Alysion: A Unique Take on the Card Game

Digimon Alysion isn't a direct port of the physical card game. It introduces "DigiAly" cards alongside the original cards, creating a unique experience. Bandai Namco is also adding new Digimon and characters to the mix. Interestingly, the currently revealed character roster features a predominantly female cast, a departure from previous iterations that has sparked some skepticism among fans hoping for a more faithful adaptation.

Bandai Namco's past attempts at Digimon mobile games haven't been entirely successful, leading to some apprehension surrounding Digimon Alysion's prospects. However, a closed beta test is planned, though specifics remain undisclosed. For the latest updates, visit the official website or their X account.
