Below, we share essential tips that we wish we had known when starting out. Implementing these strategies significantly enhanced our enjoyment and accelerated our progress in the game.

The Object of the Game is to Survive…

When you're thrust into your world and onto your plot of land, you might think the goal is to protect it. Not quite! **The true objective is survival, or more plainly, to avoid dying.** The game will challenge you with various dangers, and your mission is to endure them. Ideally, you should build a defensive structure on your plot, but you can also roam the world until the threat passes (a tactic we've successfully used). **Each time you survive, you earn a “Win”** along with some in-game currency. **Collecting Wins is the key to progressing in the game.** In essence, keep an eye on the screen messages, and focus on staying alive.

… Dying is Completely Normal

**Don't fret if you meet your demise.** It's a common occurrence, and the repercussions are minimal. Upon death, you'll respawn immediately, lose your items, and fail the current wave, but none of these setbacks are game-ending. **You can repurchase your weapons and items**, and your structures remain intact against monster and disaster damage. New attack waves come every two minutes, giving you plenty of opportunities to retry. Essentially, **you only lose a bit of time**, which isn't a big deal.

Build High, Not Low

We initially thought surrounding our plot with walls would suffice, but this proved ineffective as monsters exploited our entry and exit points. A more effective strategy is to **construct a tall set of stairs leading to a high platform**. When night falls, ascend and wait it out. Monsters attempting the climb are likely to fall, and those who reach the top can be met with a welcoming committee of **turrets**. This setup is nearly foolproof and can get you through most nights safely.

Don’t Just Build, Explore!

Beyond your plot, the island is brimming with activities. You can visit other players, sell ores, and embark on **quests**. Most quests require a certain number of Wins to unlock, but some, like the **Gingerbread’s House quest**, are immediately available. Completing these quests is beneficial as they can unlock exciting new building components.

The “Shop” Isn’t Just for Premium Items

As you advance in the game, don't overlook the Shop. **Most items can be purchased with in-game currency**. You'll need to accumulate some Wins first, so spend some time playing before you explore the Shop. Also, remember to join the Swiftplay Roblox group and to like, favorite, and follow the game to receive a complimentary gift.

When You’re Ready, Move to the Next Area

Once you've earned 190 Wins, you're eligible to transition to the next area and restart the cycle. New challenges, quests, and building techniques await you there.
