Blade Shift DLC Update Stirs Controversy

Stellar Blade's latest update, 1.009, introduces highly anticipated features alongside frustrating bugs. The update includes a Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, but has also caused game-breaking glitches for some players.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

Players are reporting softlocks during a main quest in an earlier dungeon and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie camera. Additionally, some new cosmetic items aren't rendering correctly. Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix patch to address these issues. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression to prevent permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

The NieR: Automata collaboration brings 11 exclusive items, obtainable by interacting with Emil in the game world. This collaboration highlights the mutual inspiration between the directors of both games.

The much-requested Photo Mode finally arrives, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges encourage exploration of this feature. The update also includes four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory affecting Tachy Mode, a "No Ponytail" option, and lip-sync support for six additional languages. Further improvements include enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, plus various minor bug fixes.
