Player Compensation and Final Updates

Blue Protocol Global Release Canceled as Japan Servers Close DownBandai Namco's announcement confirms Blue Protocol's Japanese service will end January 18, 2025. Consequently, the global launch, a collaboration with Amazon Games, is cancelled. Bandai cited an inability to maintain a service meeting player expectations as the reason for closure.

In an official statement, Bandai expressed regret over the cancellation, stating their inability to deliver a satisfactory service. They also acknowledged their disappointment in halting global development with Amazon Games.

Until the game's closure, Bandai promises continued support with updates and new content. However, Rose Orbs will no longer be sold or refunded. As compensation, players will receive 5,000 Rose Orbs monthly (September 2024 - January 2025) plus 250 daily. The Season 9 pass is now free, and Chapter 7, the final update, launches December 18, 2024.

Blue Protocol Global Release Canceled as Japan Servers Close DownLaunched in Japan in June 2023, Blue Protocol initially attracted over 200,000 concurrent players. However, launch day server issues and subsequent player dissatisfaction led to declining player numbers and ultimately, the game's underperformance.

Despite its promising start, Blue Protocol failed to retain players and meet financial targets. Bandai Namco's March 31, 2024 financial report highlighted the game's underperformance, directly contributing to this decision.
