Breaking: Nintendo to Close

Nintendo is shutting down Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! The news has surprised many fans of this popular mobile game. Let's explore the details.

The Shutdown Date:

Online services for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will end on November 28th, 2024. This means no more Leaf Tickets, and Pocket Camp Club memberships will cease auto-renewal on October 28th (no refunds for existing memberships after this date, but you'll receive a commemorative badge). Your last chance to purchase Leaf Tickets is November 26th. The final online farewell is November 28th at 7:00 AM PST.

A Silver Lining: An Offline Version!

While online services are ending, Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of the game. This version won't include features like Market Boxes, gifts, or visiting friends' campsites, but core gameplay will remain. All your saved data will transfer, allowing continued play without an internet connection. More details on this paid offline version are expected around October 2024.

A Trend of Mobile Game Closures?

This closure follows a pattern of Nintendo shutting down or scaling back its mobile games, including Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost, with Mario Kart Tour also undergoing significant changes.
