BrownDust2 Drops a New Update Onsen Training Featuring a New Story

BrownDust2 Heats Up with the Onsen Training Update!

Neowiz and Gamfs N have released the latest content update for BrownDust2, "Onsen Training," following their December 1.5-year anniversary celebration. This update brings a fiery new adventure to the game.

Prepare for a thrilling Japanese winter hot spring setting, complete with intense sword-fighting battles and unique BrownDust2 challenges. Expect plenty of unexpected twists and turns, including some mischievous monkey business!

Onsen Training: A Deep Dive

The update introduces three new characters: Ventana (the event protagonist and available via pickup draw), Liberta (also available via pickup draw), and Blade (story-exclusive).

The Onsen Training event story unfolds within the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate, featuring 30 battles across 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

The adventure begins with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, seeking to regain her honor after a defeat. Her hot spring training takes an unexpected turn with encounters involving playful, yet troublesome, Snowy Mountain Monkeys. Rescued by the legendary Blade, she seeks his tutelage, but her path to training is paved by Liberta, the hot spring manager.

A New Mini-Game: Onsen Tile Tactics

Test your skills in this time-limited tile-clearing mini-game. The event story is divided into phases: Legendary Graduate (Week 1), and culminating in Beyond Legend (Week 3).

Players will face returning and new bosses. Giant Rou returns in Week 1, while Week 3 introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a powerful monkey whose strength increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut as a Guild Raid boss, a challenging foe requiring strategic chain stacks to defeat.

New gear and costumes are also available. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume until February 13th.
