Burglars Return to The Sims 4
Ten years of tranquil Sims life comes to an end as burglars return in a new Sims 4 update! While not universally welcomed, the update, announced on the official Sims 4 blog, reintroduces the thrill (or terror) of home invasions.
Security systems, a familiar defense mechanism from past Sims games, return. Activating the alarm summons the police to apprehend the thief. Skilled Sims can enhance the alarm system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. For those without an alarm, a direct call to the police (with no guarantee of timely arrival) or a risky attempt at befriending the burglar are options.
More imaginative solutions exist for players owning specific expansion packs. These include unleashing dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves upon the intruder, or even freezing them with a specialized ray.
Importantly, this burglar update is free for all players.
