Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Allows Players to Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

Summary

  • A Warzone glitch allows using Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • This requires a friend and specific steps in a private Warzone match.
  • This unofficial method may be patched.

A Call of Duty: Warzone player has discovered a glitch enabling the use of Modern Warfare 3's camos on Black Ops 6 weapons—a feature many players desire. While MW3 weapons remain in Warzone, many meta weapons are from BO6, rendering earned MW3 camos largely unused.

Like previous Call of Duty titles, players grind BO6 for mastery camos. Unlike weapon blueprints, these are earned through in-game challenges, culminating in Dark Matter after achieving gold, diamond, and dark spine on numerous weapons. However, players with unlocked MW3 mastery camos find them less useful in Warzone after BO6's release. This glitch offers a solution.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

A method, showcased by Twitter user BSPGamin (via Dexerto), allows equipping MW3 camos on BO6 weapons in Warzone. However, this unofficial method is likely temporary and may be patched. It requires a friend.

The process involves: starting a private Warzone match; equipping a BO6 weapon in the first loadout slot; joining a friend's lobby; equipping an MW3 weapon and spamming the desired camo selection while the host switches to a private match; the friend then leaves; the player repeats the camo spamming while the friend rejoins a private match. The camo should then be applied to the BO6 weapon.

For those preferring BO6 camos but lacking mastery camos, Treyarch confirmed an upcoming challenge tracking feature for BO6. This feature, present in MW3, was absent from BO6 but will return in a future update.
