"Campaign 3 of Critical Role Concludes Next Week in Epic 8-Hour Finale"
The beloved Dungeons & Dragons show, Critical Role, featuring voice actors like Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and more, is set to conclude its epic Campaign 3 next week. Fans can tune into a special eight-and-a-half-hour stream to witness the finale, which will air on February 6 at 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern. For viewers in the UK, that's February 7 at 3am. The stream will be available on Critical Role's YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as on their membership service, Beacon.
This final episode will wrap up the journey of the adventuring party known as Bells Hells, which began in October 2021. While no direct spin-offs or follow-ups have been announced for their story yet, Critical Role has assured fans that more tales from the world of Exandria will continue to unfold.
"This finale for Campaign 3 marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history," said Marisha Ray, the creative director and cast member. "But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, I think it’s important to know that the story continues with a simple turn of the page. I’m very excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."
Despite the conclusion of Campaign 3, Critical Role's regular programming will continue uninterrupted. A new spin-off series, Exandria Unlimited, will premiere its first of four episodes on February 14, and other shows and streams are expected to follow.
As for the next major adventure, details on when Campaign 4 will begin have not yet been disclosed. Historically, there's been a few months' gap between campaigns, with the first Vox Machina series ending in October 2017 and the second Mighty Nein series starting in January 2018. Campaign 3 followed in October 2021 after the Mighty Nein series concluded in June of that year.
Fans won't have to wait too long for news on the next chapter, and with Critical Role's 10-year anniversary approaching on March 12, it could be the perfect occasion for an announcement, if not the launch of a new series.
