Cat Out of the Bag: 'Cato' Puzzle Platformer Unveiled

A charming new puzzle platformer, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming soon to Android! The game's quirky name—a blend of "cat" and "toast"—perfectly encapsulates its unique gameplay. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers did, and the result is a delightful, gravity-defying adventure.

Originally a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry by Team Woll, Cato: Buttered Cat's positive reception led to its full development. Already available on Steam for PC, the Android version is on its way. While the Google Play listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register via the official TapTap page.

Gameplay:

Control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast to solve puzzles, battle foes, and explore five whimsical worlds brimming with quirky contraptions. With 200 levels (including side quests) and 30 outfits, there's plenty to discover. The cat's agility complements the toast's projectile capabilities, opening up unique problem-solving opportunities. Hidden rooms and Easter eggs add to the replayability.
