Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind the game, has issued a warning about the proliferation of fake merchandise featuring Esquie, while also teasing the development of an official Esquie plush.

In a recent post on X/Twitter from the official Expedition 33 account, Sandfall Interactive highlighted the emergence of several "suspicious" websites selling Esquie plushies. "To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed," the studio stated. They noted that many of these sites use AI-generated artwork to promote their products, advising fans to avoid purchasing from these sources due to the risk of scams.

On a brighter note, Sandfall confirmed their plans to produce official Esquie plushies, promising to release them as soon as possible. "In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!" they urged their fans.

Those familiar with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 understand the appeal of an Esquie plushie. For those yet to embark on Expedition 33, Esquie is introduced in Act 1 as a giant helper who becomes both a travel companion and a mode of transportation across the game's overworld. His charm is reminiscent of Baymax from Big Hero 6, making an Esquie plush an attractive prospect for fans.
