Clash Royale declares war on Christmas cards, offering in-game rewards to those who shred them

Clash Royale's research reveals a decline in Christmas card enthusiasm: six in ten adults receive fewer cards, and a staggering 79% are indifferent. Over 40% even hope this trend continues into 2024.

To tap into this "festive fatigue," Clash Royale is hosting a unique London pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch. Attendees can shred unwanted Christmas cards in exchange for in-game rewards – a guilt-free alternative to binning them.

But the anti-Christmas sentiment extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's research also found that one in five people want to never hear Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" again, while over 20% have publicly complained about Christmas music or opted for beef instead of turkey.

The anti-Christmas spirit even reaches Clash Royale's content creators. YouTubers, such as Orange Juice Gaming, are receiving hilariously awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers), but with a twist: the gifts are wrapped in custom Clash Royale paper containing in-game rewards for fans.
