Furnace Makes Triumphant Return to Clash Royale

For the longest time, the Furnace was one of those Clash Royale cards you'd barely notice. It used to sit quietly on the battlefield, spawning Fire Spirits every so often while you focused on more exciting action.

But that's all changed!

With the launch of Season 74 today, Supercell has given the Furnace a complete overhaul. It's no longer just a static building—it’s been reborn as a mobile, attacking troop.

This revival brings a fresh dynamic to one of the game's classic cards. The Goblin Hut previously underwent a similar redesign to make it more responsive, but the Furnace’s transformation is on another level. It’s now all about active engagement on the field.

While it remains a 4-Elixir Rare card and still summons Fire Spirits, almost everything else is new. The Furnace now moves, attacks from range, and can target both air and ground units—dealing single-target damage from up to six tiles away.

The Furnace also gains an evolution called Hot Spawns. Instead of producing a Fire Spirit every five seconds, Hot Spurns cuts that interval down to just 1.8 seconds. What’s more, the Spirits now alternate, increasing both coverage and damage output.

What are your thoughts on the Furnace’s return?

This August, the Furnace headlines the new season. It’s front and center on the game’s loading screen, complete with new card art, a revamped frame design, and an updated character render.

At the same time, Season 74 introduces a host of balance changes. Several cards are receiving nerfs, including Dagger Duchess, Royal Chef, Spear Goblins, Miner, Evolved Skeleton Barrel, Rage, Cannoneer, Evolved Dart Goblin, and Dart Goblin.

In contrast, Spirit Empress, Phoenix, Zappies, Golem, and Minions are being buffed. A few other cards are also getting reworked. To dive into all the changes, download the game from the Google Play Store.
