No More Collecting Stage Girls! Revue Starlight Re LIVE Announces Its EOS

Revue Starlight Re LIVE: Curtain Call on September 30th

The mobile game, Revue Starlight Re LIVE, based on the popular anime series, has announced its End of Service (EOS). Servers will officially shut down on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, marking the end of nearly six years on Android.

Reasons Behind the EOS Announcement

While not entirely unexpected, the EOS announcement follows a period of declining performance for Revue Starlight Re LIVE. Factors contributing to this include repetitive events, reused assets, and costly battle passes. Furthermore, narrative inconsistencies, such as a sudden shift in storyline, also impacted player engagement. The shutdown affects the game globally, including its Japanese servers.

Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted positive aspects. Its soundtrack, featuring music from the anime, and high-quality 3D graphics and Live2D animations were widely appreciated.

A Final Farewell?

Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. Developers are implementing several farewell campaigns throughout August and September. A "Thank You For Everything" campaign offers ten free pulls daily, and a two-month birthday celebration event is underway, featuring two "New Stage Girl Gacha" events in August and September. Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience these final events.
