"Cyberpunk Game 'Replaced' Postponed to 2024"
In Thunderful Group's latest financial report, which highlights a period marked by multiple rounds of layoffs, an important update regarding the game *Replaced* has surfaced. The long-awaited cyberpunk platformer is now officially slated for a 2026 release — marking yet another delay in its development timeline.
Previously, the development team at Sad Cat had announced a postponement to 2025, explaining that the complexity of the project posed unique challenges. However, *Replaced* was originally intended for a 2022 launch, then shifted to 2023, followed by another push to 2024. Despite the setbacks, the studio remains fully committed to delivering a polished and high-quality experience, motivated by the growing anticipation from fans and the attention the title has received over time.
The game was first revealed in 2021 and made its debut during Microsoft’s showcase at the former E3 exhibition — generating early excitement and setting high expectations among gamers.
As of now, the developers have not publicly addressed this most recent delay. That said, Sad Cat continues to engage with the community, offering periodic updates on the game’s progress. This past summer, for instance, they shared new combat footage along with a glimpse of an in-game mini-game, giving players a taste of what’s still to come.
