Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Sony's State of Play February 2025 showcase revealed a remastered edition of Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, for the PlayStation 5. This enhanced version boasts significant upgrades, including VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlight is the inclusion of several new game modes and features.

Key additions include a challenging permadeath mode, a speedrun mode for competitive players, and a vastly improved photo mode. Accessibility options have also been expanded. A brand-new Horde Assault arcade mode lets players confront even larger hordes of Freakers than in the original game, providing a thrilling new challenge for seasoned players.

This release represents Sony's continued effort to bring popular PS4 titles to the PS5 with enhanced features. It joins other upgraded titles such as The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

PC players aren't left out. While Days Gone is already available on PC, the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and accessibility features will be accessible via a $10 DLC pack titled "Broken Roads."

A recent PlayStation.Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio highlights that the PS5 version is optimized for the console, offering both Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience further visual enhancements and improved audio. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, utilizing the DualSense controller's capabilities, further immerse players in the game.
