With 19 unique monsters challenging your mission in R.E.P.O., players must stay vigilant. Each creature boasts distinct skills and attacks that can abruptly end your level if you're not quick to respond. Among them is the Eye Monster, known as the Peeper. Here's how to overcome the Peeper in R.E.P.O.

Defeating the Peeper Eye Monster in R.E.P.O.

This ceiling-lurking foe is difficult to detect and often spots you first. Appearing randomly across the map, the Peeper is a massive eyeball that remains closed until a player enters its range.

Once it detects you, the Peeper opens and locks your gaze, preventing you from looking away and inflicting two points of damage to your HP per second of connection. While its damage is minimal, as it's among the least dangerous monsters, the Peeper's ability to disorient can be highly disruptive when you're in its sights.

When caught in the Peeper’s gaze, your perspective zooms in on the eyeball, making navigation challenging and, in worst cases, hindering your ability to flee from other threats.

Always be mindful that a Peeper can appear anywhere. If possible, plan a clear escape route to retreat or maneuver. The best strategy is to move around a corner or through a doorway. Closing the door is challenging but feasible. If you're with a teammate, they can shut the door for you, breaking the Peeper’s hold. Stay calm and keep moving to avoid panic.

To eliminate a Peeper, use the ‘Gun,’ available at the Service Station for approximately $47K. It may take multiple shots to bring this eye monster down. Aiming while trapped by the Peeper is tough but manageable with composure. As with most challenges in R.E.P.O., having a teammate significantly simplifies the task.
