Delta Force Devs Unveil New Campaign: Black Hawk Down

by Nicholas Apr 24,2025

Delta Force, the renowned free-to-play first-person shooter, has recently unveiled an exciting new co-op campaign mode titled "Black Hawk Down." Drawing inspiration from the iconic film and reimagining the campaign from the 2003 game "Delta Force: Black Hawk Down," this new mode promises an exhilarating experience. Built from scratch using the powerful Unreal Engine 5, the campaign plunges players into the heart of Mogadishu with a level of immersion that was unattainable two decades ago. This revamped version is not just about stunning visuals; it's crafted to offer a formidable challenge to gamers.

While it's possible to tackle the campaign solo, the developers warn that it's an extremely tough endeavor. You'll encounter the same number of enemies and intense firefights as in co-op mode. For the best chance of success, the developers strongly suggest assembling a squad of four players, each with a different character class. This team-based approach is crucial for navigating through the campaign's seven challenging chapters.

For those eager to dive deeper into the campaign's details, [ttpp] provides a comprehensive overview. In celebration of the launch, we had the privilege of interviewing studio head Leo Yao and game director Shadow Guo. They shared insights on the decision to reboot this classic campaign, their choice to offer it for free, and much more. Their vision and dedication to enhancing the Delta Force experience shine through in this ambitious project.
