Deltarune's Console Testing Progressing Smoothly

In a recent post on his official Bluesky account, Toby Fox provided an update on the console testing for Deltarune. He noted that while there's still much work to be done, the process is moving along well. "Still console testing. There are fewer bugs, but there's a lot to go through. (Haven't even tested PS5 yet)," Fox shared, indicating that the team is diligently working to refine the game. Moreover, they're making strides in enabling players to transfer their saves from the demo (Chapters 1 and 2) to the full game on console versions. This feature, made possible by recent technological advancements, promises a seamless transition for players. "I hope it works!" Fox optimistically added.

With the beta testing showing promising results, the release of Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 in 2025 seems closer than ever, as confirmed by Fox himself on Bluesky.

Toby Fox Teases New Character, Tenna

Amidst the rigorous work on Chapters 3 and 4, Toby Fox keeps the fanbase engaged with entertaining mini-updates. Known for his witty use of internet memes and self-deprecating humor, Fox recently shared a light-hearted moment about a minigame he's been working on for Deltarune. "I showed my family and friends a minigame I've been working on for DR (Deltarune) and they all described it as ‘a cry for help because your game is not out’," he posted, humorously noting his family's supportive comments and a friend's prolonged laughter.

This playful update also sparked speculation among fans, especially since Fox had previously mentioned that the content for Chapters 3 and 4 was complete. Some believe the minigame might be a sneak peek into Chapter 5, given that Deltarune is planned to span seven chapters.

In the same post, Fox mentioned a character named Tenna, reminiscing about a friend's comment: "I miss Tenna." This was the first public mention of Tenna, a character introduced during the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign for the Child's Play charity in September 2022. Fox's reference to Tenna confirms her inclusion in the upcoming Chapter 3, adding to the anticipation for new content.
