"Deltarune's Switch 2 Exclusive Feature Revealed in Secret Room"

Deltarune’s upcoming release on the Nintendo Switch 2 promises exclusive features tailored for the next-generation console. This version will include all four chapters of the game—Chapters 1 through 4—and introduces a unique gameplay experience designed specifically for the Switch 2 hardware.

Exclusive Special Room with Dual Mouse Controls

As revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct event on April 2 and further detailed in a Fangamer newsletter by Deltarune creator Toby Fox, the Switch 2 edition includes a hidden “SPECIAL ROOM.” This room is crafted to utilize the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Con controllers, allowing players to control two cursors simultaneously—a feature only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2. Fox expressed excitement about this innovation, stating, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

Players on other platforms will still have access to this SPECIAL ROOM, though it will be adapted to fit their respective control schemes. Additionally, those who played the demo versions of Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 on the original Nintendo Switch can import their save data into the new Switch 2 version seamlessly.

FUTURE CHAPTERS WILL BE FREE FOR ALL OWNERS

The full version of *DELTARUNE* will retail at $24.99 and will include Chapters 1 through 4. While Chapters 1 and 2 were originally released for free in 2018 and 2021 respectively, future content—including the newly released Chapters 3 and 4—will now be part of the main game purchase. Toby Fox also shared that additional chapters beyond Chapter 4 will be delivered as free updates to existing owners.

This means players only need to purchase the game once, and they’ll receive all future updates and story expansions without extra cost. As Fox put it, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."

Soundtrack Available Separately

For fans of the game’s iconic music, the *DELTARUNE* soundtrack will be available separately on Steam for $14.99. The soundtrack will feature over 150 tracks from Chapters 1 to 4, with new songs added for free as future chapters are released. This ensures that both the game and its music continue to evolve alongside the expanding story.
