Destiny 2 Players Discover Frustrating Reputation Gain Bug

Destiny 2's Warlock Class Faces Persistent Reputation Bug

Destiny 2 players, particularly Warlocks, are experiencing a recurring reputation gain bug impacting their progress, despite recent positive updates and new content releases like Into the Light and The Final Shape. While Bungie actively addresses numerous bugs through patches, new issues continue to emerge, including this persistent problem affecting Warlock reputation.

Recent bugs have ranged from unintended free rewards in Crucible matches to overpowered weapon effects. Warlocks have been disproportionately affected, previously encountering a Gambit reputation bug that hindered their XP gains. Now, this issue appears to extend to other game modes, including Grandmaster Nightfalls.

The June 25th weekly reset reintroduced Grandmaster Nightfalls with boosted Vanguard reputation and double rewards. However, Warlocks are reporting significantly lower XP gains compared to Titans and Hunters, suggesting a continuing problem with reputation calculations. This bug, seemingly present for months, remains unacknowledged by Bungie. Increased player awareness followed the recent Gambit XP discrepancies.

Currently, players can only increase awareness of this issue, hoping Bungie will address it soon. The studio recently released Update 8.0.0.5, tackling various problems including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, the Warlock reputation bug persists.
