This animated series, a collaboration between Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and the Legend of Korra studio, Studio Mir, was first announced back in 2018. The eight-episode first season is finally ready to unleash its demonic fury.
While plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, it seems Dante, as seen in the first three Devil May Cry games, will take center stage. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will lend his talents to Dante in this adaptation. Any direct connections to the game's storylines, however, are yet to be confirmed.
The last mainline entry in the Devil May Cry franchise was 2019's Devil May Cry 5, a triumphant return to form after a period of relative quiet following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A standout action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
