Dredge\'s mobile port delayed until next year but a closed beta test is planned for December

by Henry Feb 11,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open for registration!

Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to exercise a bit more patience. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has announced a new closed beta test with open sign-ups.

For the uninitiated, Dredge casts players as a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly descends into a chilling tale of strange sea creatures, mysterious entities, and the unsettling possibility of losing your sanity amidst the unsettling events unfolding on a nearby island.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has already received strongly suggest it's a game worth the wait, especially for those who haven't experienced it yet.

ytThe Challenges of Mobile Adaptation

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Porting such a vast and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and ensuring a smoother, more polished mobile experience. This excellent blend of horror and fishing deserves a top-notch mobile adaptation.
