Nightreign Reveals 6th Class, Ironeye

A Deadly Ranged Sniper

Elden Ring: Nightreign has unveiled a thrilling new class, the Ironeye, just in time for its much-anticipated May release. This sniper class brings a fresh take on ranged combat, emphasizing speed and agility. The character trailer highlights its unique gameplay, featuring a formidable bow and arrow setup and the ability to scale walls for strategic mid-air strikes. The Ironeye also benefits from a new aiming system designed to enhance precision and increase the likelihood of landing headshots. In a stunning display, the trailer even shows the Ironeye executing a riposte with a bow and arrow, targeting an enemy's heart with deadly accuracy.

During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players were able to experience four of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the robust Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the mystical Recluse. The Ironeye marks the sixth class, and with Nightreign's launch approaching next month, fans are eagerly anticipating the reveal of the final two classes, possibly later this month.

The addition of quality-of-life enhancements, such as the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that these improvements could also be integrated into the original Elden Ring, potentially making bows a more viable and appealing weapon choice. Historically, bows have not been favored as main weapons in the original game, largely due to the dominance of melee combat. However, with the revamped sniper class in Nightreign demonstrating the potential power of bows and arrows, more players might be inclined to experiment with ranged builds in this new adventure.

Set to launch on May 30th, 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone expansion available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. For more in-depth information about the game, be sure to check out Game8’s comprehensive article below!
