"Elden Ring's Nightreign Libra Resembles Ben 10 Character, Fans Observe"
The recently revealed Libra boss from *Elden Ring: Nightreign* has sparked an amusing yet oddly accurate comparison among fans. After IGN released new gameplay footage showcasing "Libra, Creature of the Night," many couldn't help but notice a striking resemblance between this menacing goat-like Nightlord and Grey Matter—an alien character from the popular cartoon *Ben 10*. Read on to discover why players are drawing this unexpected connection and what kind of challenge Libra truly presents in combat.
It’s Hero Time?
As *Elden Ring: Nightreign* approaches its release date, FromSoftware continues to build hype with fresh reveals. One such reveal is Libra—one of the eight formidable Nightlords showcased in recent gameplay footage. While his battle mechanics appear as punishing as expected for a Soulsborne title, it was his design that caught most players off guard.
Fans across YouTube and Reddit were quick to point out that Libra's appearance bears a strong similarity to Grey Matter from *Ben 10*, primarily due to his large, eye-catching features. However, upon closer inspection, those "eyes" turned out to be bells hanging from his horns—adding both flair and menace to his overall look.
Madness!
Beyond his quirky appearance, Libra proves to be a serious threat in battle. He inflicts the Madness Status Effect, causing health and focus point loss while also stunning players. The gameplay preview highlighted the importance of teamwork, especially given Libra’s wide area-of-effect attacks and unpredictable movement patterns.
Before engaging him, players encounter the Scale-bearing Merchant who offers powerful buffs—such as increased strength, ailment resistance, or even temporary immunity to death. Whether players accept the offer or charge into battle headfirst, they’ll soon realize that the merchant is none other than Libra himself. Upon initiating the fight, he sheds his disguise, revealing his true, terrifying form.
As the battle intensifies, Libra becomes increasingly aggressive. He begins by launching magical projectiles and summoning AoE sigils across the arena. Once enough damage is dealt, he enters a frenzied state, unleashing brutal melee strikes and more potent madness-inducing spells. His AoE attacks also expand, making positioning crucial for survival.
With *Elden Ring: Nightreign* set to launch on May 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, FromSoftware continues to tease deeper lore, enhanced co-op mechanics, and challenging encounters like Libra. Be sure to keep an eye out for more updates as we get closer to release day!
