Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds. This includes new heroes, cards, and a revamped minion pool, alongside significant gameplay changes. Let's explore the key additions!

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

The spotlight is on Trinkets – powerful new enhancements. Players can acquire 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, with the possibility of obtaining duplicates. These are offered on turns 6 and 9, presenting four choices each time. The Trinkets offered are tailored to your hero and current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).

Marin the Manager: The New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero. His unique ability allows you to obtain a Trinket a turn earlier than usual, giving you a strategic advantage.

Minion and Spell Updates

Season 8 sees a refresh of the minion pool. While 41 minions are rotating out, 22 returning favorites and 27 brand-new minions are joining the fray, along with 2 new Tavern spells.

New Cards to Collect

Four exciting new cards are introduced:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn 14 total packs, including those from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
