Fake Baldur’s Gate 3 Mobile Port Appears on App Store

A fraudulent Baldur's Gate 3 mobile port has surfaced on the iOS App Store, prompting a warning for fans. This deceptive app, disguised with modified screenshots and a fake mobile HUD, is free initially but demands a hefty $29.99 monthly subscription fee. Crucially, there is no official mobile version of Baldur's Gate 3.

The fake app, titled "Baldurs Gate 3 - Mobile Turuk" and attributed to developer "Dmytro Turuk," lacks any mention of Larian Studios or the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, raising immediate red flags. While the free initial download might lure unsuspecting players, the subsequent subscription cost and concerning data collection practices (including IP address logging) expose its malicious nature.

This isn't the first instance of a Baldur's Gate 3 scam app; similar attempts have been observed previously. Although currently absent from the Android store, gamers on both platforms should exercise caution. If an offer seems too good to be true, it likely is. Larian Studios hasn't announced any mobile port plans, though earlier Baldur's Gate titles are available on mobile, and Baldur's Gate 3 is accessible via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Users who downloaded the fraudulent app should remove it immediately. Always verify developer information before installing any app.
