by Penelope Feb 25,2025

Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in "My Father Lied," a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title, a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery further complicated by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after the team dissolved, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. Employing a unique blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, he delivers stunning visuals optimized for even low-spec PCs. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging players to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore hauntingly beautiful environments. Alameen cites influences from games like Myst and Heaven's Vault, and the literary style of H.P. Lovecraft.

"My Father Lied" will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam (add it to your wishlist now!). Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available.
