Final Fantasy XVI's PC Debut: September 17th

Square Enix has officially announced that the acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI will launch on PC on September 17th. This announcement suggests a positive trajectory for the franchise's PC presence, with the director hinting at potential simultaneous multi-platform releases for future titles.

The PC version will be available for $49.99, with a Complete Edition at $69.99, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions. A playable demo, featuring the prologue and an "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode, is currently available. Demo progress carries over to the full game.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai highlighted the PC enhancements: "We've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and players can choose from various upscaling technologies like NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
