FF7 Rebirth: Comprehensive PC Pre-Order Guide Revealed
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Arrives on PC: A Comprehensive Guide to Editions, Pre-Order Bonuses, and Save Data Rewards
The highly anticipated second installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy is finally coming to PC on January 23, 2025. Unlike its predecessor, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth offers PC players a choice between multiple editions, pre-order bonuses, and even save data rewards. This guide breaks down everything you need to know to choose the perfect edition for you.
Where to Buy Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC
PC gamers can purchase Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Both platforms offer the game at the same price. Note that the game will not be available on GOG.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Save Data Bonuses
Pre-Order Bonuses
Pre-ordering Final Fantasy VII Rebirth before January 23rd, 13:59 (UTC), grants you these bonuses, regardless of edition or platform:
- Summon Materia: Moogle Trio
- Armor: Shinra Bangle Mk. II
- Armor: Midgar Bangle Mk. II
While not mandatory, a 30% pre-order discount is available until the release date. These bonuses may be sold separately later.
Save Data Bonuses
Carry over your save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake to unlock additional content:
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade save data: Unlocks the Leviathan summoning materia.
- INTERmission DLC save data: Unlocks the Ramuh summoning materia.
Ensure you use the same account and have the save data on the PC where you install Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Different Editions of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC
PC players can choose between the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition ($69.99, $48.99 with pre-order discount) includes the base game and the Posh Chocobo summoning materia (included in both editions).
Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition ($89.99, $62.99 with pre-order discount) adds:
- Digital Art Book
- Digital Mini Soundtrack
- Summon materia: Magic Pot
- Accessory: Reclaimant Choker
- Armor: Orchid Bracelet
Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade
A $20 upgrade is available for Standard Edition owners who wish to obtain the Digital Deluxe Edition content later.
Is the Digital Deluxe Edition Worth It?
The extra cost of the Digital Deluxe Edition may not be justified for all players. The additional items are bonuses, not significant gameplay expansions. The Standard Edition offers excellent value for those primarily interested in the core game experience.
