Football Manager 25 is cancelled

Sega's Unexpected Announcement: No Football Manager 2025
Sega and Sports Interactive have delivered surprising news to fans of the Football Manager series: there will be no new installment for the 2025 season. In a formal statement, the companies announced the game's cancellation and confirmed full refunds for all pre-orders.
The reason? The game, already subject to two delays, was deemed too far from completion. While developers had promised a significant technological leap, they ultimately couldn't meet their ambitious goals. This frank admission is refreshing, a stark contrast to some sports game franchises known for minimal updates between releases.
However, this news is still a letdown for many. The developers also confirmed that Football Manager 24 will receive no updates for the new season. This is particularly disappointing, given the game's history of helping virtual managers secure real-world positions in football clubs. For the coming year, only the outdated Football Manager 24 will be available.
Fans will have to await further announcements regarding the future of the franchise.
