Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Debuts Feb 21 with Mortal Kombat Crossover

Epic Games has officially unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season. Titled "Wanted," this season dives straight into a thrilling heist theme, featuring gun-toting villains, gold-filled vans, and explosive bank vaults, setting the stage for a high-octane robbery adventure.

Scheduled to kick off on February 21, the season will introduce an exciting collaboration with the iconic fighting franchise, Mortal Kombat. Sub-Zero will make his appearance in the Battle Pass, perfectly complementing the heist theme with his new skin.

This collaboration coincides with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. Players can purchase the new skins using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character available for 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the standard pricing.

The return of the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret has been confirmed, while other weapons remain a mystery. Speculation abounds regarding the potential return of items from the previous heist-themed season, Chapter 4 Season 4, including the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and the Grappler. However, these are currently just rumors.

A highly anticipated feature is Smart Building, which will revolutionize construction by predicting the structure you need based on your aim direction. Additionally, the heist theme introduces a revamped gameplay mechanic, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's equivalent to thermite, to crack open vaults and claim their rewards.
