FragPunk: A New Multiplayer Shooter Released on PC

FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam based on initial player reviews. The game's unique selling point is its innovative fragment-card system. These cards dynamically change the rules of engagement mid-match, creating unpredictable and diverse gameplay experiences. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting, and adding a strategic layer to the core FPS mechanics.

Players can select from 13 distinct launchers, each possessing unique abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk allows players to showcase individual skill within the intense online matches.

However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced a delay for the console versions. Originally scheduled for a March 6th release across all platforms, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have been postponed due to unforeseen technical issues just two days before launch. A new release date is yet to be confirmed, but the developers assure players of ongoing updates.
