Back to the Future Classic 'Time Machine' Now Available in CSR2

Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future with a time-traveling crossover event.

CSR2: A Back to the Future Experience

Starting now, players can acquire and race the iconic DeLorean Time Machine from the original film. While it lacks performance enhancements or special abilities, it's a fully functional, drivable vehicle within the game. Beyond the car itself, CSR2 offers a complete Back to the Future themed experience.

This includes a film-inspired in-game interface, a new storyline, and multiple events. Three flash events centered around the DeLorean are planned, alongside a community competition. Zynga has confirmed additional themed events throughout the year, making this more than a single update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting social media quizzes with prizes; details are available on their official channels.

No Time Travel, But Plenty of Fun!

While the game doesn't offer actual time travel to 1955 (or 1999), this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is unique. The ability to drive the legendary DeLorean is a significant draw.

Zynga's VP of Games, Sam Cooper, emphasized the DeLorean's iconic status and the excitement of letting players virtually race it in celebration of the film's anniversary.
