Genshin | New Character: Yumemizuki Mizuki Unveiled

Genshin Impact Version 5.4: A Closer Look at Yumemizuki Mizuki and a Smaller Update

Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo catalyst user from Inazuma, is the sole new character debuting in Genshin Impact's Version 5.4. This update follows the conclusion of the Natlan storyline in Version 5.3 and offers a more concise Inazuma-focused experience. The update's flagship event centers on yokai, with Yae Miko playing a prominent role.

Mizuki's gameplay is reminiscent of Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities. Her role as a 5-Star Anemo catalyst makes her a valuable addition to many Taser teams, though Sucrose may still excel in specific situations. Leaks accurately predicted Mizuki's inclusion as a Standard Banner character after Version 5.4, a fact confirmed by the Version 5.4 beta. Her kit and role were also revealed during the beta testing phase.

Initially rumored since late 2024, Mizuki's identity as a tapir yokai, psychologist, and majority owner of Aisa Bathhouse was gradually unveiled through the game's drip marketing campaign. Her close friendship with Yae Miko strongly suggests her introduction will coincide with the Version 5.4 flagship event. A dedicated Story Quest for Mizuki is also anticipated.

Genshin Impact: Yumemizuki Mizuki Details

  • Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
  • Rarity: 5-Star
  • Vision: Anemo
  • Weapon: Catalyst
  • Constellation: Tapirus Somniator

Version 5.4's Event Banners will feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half, followed by Furina and Sigewinne in the second. Remember, Mizuki joins the Standard Banner after Version 5.4, so players focused on collecting characters should prioritize obtaining her signature weapon.

In contrast to the content-rich Version 5.3, Version 5.4 is a smaller update. It includes only one new character, one Story Quest, no new Artifact Domain, and no map expansion. Consequently, the Primogem rewards will be lower than average. Players should consider saving their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, particularly if they aim to acquire highly sought-after Fontaine characters like Furina or Wriothesley, unless Version 5.3's Chronicled Banner offers a compelling alternative.
