  • Exclusive login bonuses and a special anniversary program celebrate Genshin's fifth year

Genshin Impact is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and developer MiHoYo is marking the occasion with a major content expansion. The Luna I: A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves update introduces a new explorable area, three fresh characters, and numerous anniversary rewards.

The centerpiece of this release is Nod-Krai, Teyvat's seventh major region. Players will dive into an immersive new story arc, confronting the Fatui Harbinger Marionette and her dangerous plans to harness lunar energy. Throughout this adventure, you'll encounter new allies—some of whom will become permanent additions to your team.

These three new Genshin Impact characters include Lauma the Moonchanter, a five-star Catalyst user; Flins, a five-star polearm specialist; and Aino, a four-star Claymore wielder. Each brings unique combat capabilities to the table, including powerful new Lunar Reactions.

The new characters also feature dynamic environmental interactions. For example, having Lauma in your party may attract helpful wildlife assistance. However, the most anticipated addition is likely the Meeting Points system, which offers intimate glimpses into your favorite characters' daily lives when they're not battling evil.

Despite the wealth of new content, the fifth anniversary celebrations haven't been overlooked. Players can claim a free five-star character from the Standard Wish, plus enough ascension materials to immediately boost them to level 60. Daily login rewards include 10 Intertwined Fates, 1,600 Primogems, two exclusive Nod-Krai themed gadgets, and more.

The festivities continue with the return of the Genshin Impact Fan Art Special Program. Titled "Parallels Meet," this global showcase of community creations will stream on September 20th across YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.
