Take-Two Interactive has reaffirmed its fall 2025 release window for Grand Theft Auto 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This confirmation comes during their third-quarter financial report ending December 31, 2024. While acknowledging the inherent risk of delays, CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the targeted release timeframe. He emphasized Rockstar Games' dedication to perfection, highlighting the game's high anticipation both internally and externally. Zelnick remained tight-lipped regarding specific development updates, stating that Rockstar prioritizes quality and is acutely aware of the competitive landscape.

The GTA 6 release date remains a significant topic in the gaming industry, influencing the release strategies of competitors. EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently hinted at potential Battlefield delays contingent on GTA 6's launch timing. Despite the confirmed release window, a highly anticipated second trailer for GTA 6 has yet to be released, fueling fan speculation.
