Just last week, Gearbox Entertainment announced that Borderlands 4 would launch two weeks earlier than initially planned. Devolver Digital Remains Adamant in Releasing a Game Same Day with GTA 6

Rather than moving away from GTA 6’s launch date, Devolver Digital has decided to release one of their games on the same day, May 26. They announced this bold move on X on May 2, stating, "You can’t escape us."

Back in March, Devolver Digital had already declared their intention to launch a game simultaneously with GTA 6. While they have yet to reveal which game will go head-to-head with GTA 6, they have a roster of potential candidates including sequels to Cult of the Lamb, Enter the Gungeon, Hotline Miami, or even a new IP.

In contrast, other developers and publishers are reportedly planning to avoid GTA 6’s release window. According to The Game Business Show in March, several anonymous game executives indicated their readiness to delay their games to steer clear of GTA 6’s launch.
