How To Find Atomic Batteries With Leads in Atomfall
Finding and depositing Atomic Batteries in The Interchange is crucial for progressing the main story in Atomfall. The game provides Leads that guide you to potential locations. Here are some of the most effective leads I've discovered:
- "A Fruitful Trade" indicates that the Reverend obtained his Atomic Battery from a Trader named Molly, located west of Wyndham Village. Molly is open to bartering, particularly favoring Molotov Cocktails.
- "Batteries and All" suggests that druids in Casterfell Woods might possess Atomic Batteries. Head to the southwest part of Casterfell Woods, navigate through the Druids' Camp to a door flanked by blue fire torches, and enter the Castle Ruins. The battery is near the High Priestess overlooking a valley.
- "Battery Request at the Skethermoor Depot" points to a battery at the Skethermoor Vehicle Depot, southeast of Skethermoor at coordinates 43.4 E, 74.6 N. Find a blue hatch next to two greenhouses, clear out any Outlaws, and use a key found through a vent to access the battery. Don't forget Radiation Resistance to survive the environment.
- "Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar" reveals another battery sold to the vicar in St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. If you've already secured the Reverend's battery, you can skip this.
- "Revered Got His Hands on a Battery" leads you to St. Katherine’s Church, where the Reverend is covering up a murder. Use the bargaining option to blackmail him for the key to his chest, which contains the Atomic Battery.
- "Spare Batteries at the Dam" directs you to the Dam in the northwest of Casterfell Wood at 20.9 E, 90.9 N. In the Dam’s electrical area, pull the Substation Override lever in the Control Room to power down the area and safely retrieve the battery.
Can You Barter for Batteries in Atomfall? Answered
If you're struggling to find Atomic Batteries, bartering is another effective method. Molly, for instance, has a battery you can trade for, and other traders may occasionally have them as their stock rotates. When bartering, pay attention to the color-coded icons indicating a trader's preference for items—green for highly favored, yellow for moderately favored, and red for least favored. Experimenting with different items can lead to better deals when trading for Atomic Batteries.
How To Extract Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall
In Atomfall, the Protocol deploys large, deadly robots across the Zone. These robots, often guarding critical areas or patrolling, are powered by Atomic Batteries. To extract these batteries, target flamethrower-wielding robots from a distance with a rifle, aiming at the red barrels to overheat and stun them. Once stunned, you can safely approach and remove the Atomic Battery from the robot's back.
Atomfall is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
