In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your shoes are crucial for your journey, and they can wear out to the point of being unusable. To avoid wandering barefoot, you'll need to know how to acquire new shoes and repair your existing ones.

While you begin the game with a pair of shoes, you don't have to stick with them throughout your adventure. There are several methods to obtain new footwear. You can discover shoes in chests or loot them from poachers and other human enemies. However, if you prefer a more lawful approach, you can purchase them.

Tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, carry shoes, but these typically lack impressive stats. For better quality, head to a cobbler. You can find a cobbler in Trosky, identified by a map symbol resembling three red pieces in a circle, as shown below.

When conversing with a cobbler, you'll have access to a variety of items for purchase, not limited to just shoes. Cobbler Matthew, for instance, also sells horse-related items. You can also acquire materials, Blacksmith's Kits, and Cobbler's Kits from him.

How to Repair Shoes

Repairing your shoes can be done in multiple ways. You can have them fixed by cobblers or blacksmiths by selecting the repair option in their dialogue menu. This will bring up a list of items you can repair, along with the associated costs. These costs can be reduced if you invest in the Craftsmanship skill, which offers percentage discounts on NPC repairs for all gear, including shoes and armor.

Alternatively, you can repair your shoes yourself, though this depends on your Craftsmanship level. If your skill isn't high enough, you won't be able to repair your own shoes or other equipment. To repair your shoes, you'll need a Cobbler's Kit.

Cobbler's Kits are available from various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths, and can also be found in chests or by looting NPCs. To use a Cobbler's Kit, navigate to it in your inventory and press the interact button ("E" on PC). This will open a menu displaying damaged items that can be repaired with the kit. If an item appears faded, your skill level is insufficient to repair it. Otherwise, select the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to complete the repair.

This guide covers how to get and repair shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For repairing other gear, use a Blacksmith's Kit in the same manner. It's always beneficial to keep your gear in good condition, so don't hesitate to seek out a vendor for repairs when needed.
